The OxyGuard 840 Monitor is a single channel dissolved oxygen (DO) measuring
system designed specifically to perform without maintenance
or calibration for extended periods of time. It is especially
useful in wastewater treatment cells where the mixed liquor
often contains high levels of suspended solids, fibrous material,
grease and/or fats. The system is also well suited to monitor
DO in fish ponds,
with high levels of biological material are present (cat fish farming for example). Depending upon the
site conditions, the 840 System should be used in conjunction
with the Probe
Mounting System and a Probe Wiper.
The 840 is a 2-wire, 4-20mA loop powered
system which consists of the OxyGuard dissolved oxygen probe
and display box. The display unit has a large LCD display,
%Saturation foil switch and calibration pot. Calibration is
performed without the use of tables in air or air-saturated
water - with the probe equilibrated in air or air saturated
water simply press the %Sat button and adjust the displayed
value to 100% and calibration is done.
For technical details see the Specifications page.
